The wife of former Star India’s CEO, Peter Mukherjea, has reportedly admitted that Sheena Bora, who she is accused of murdering in 2012 was her daughter and not sister as was reported by media on Tuesday.
Mumbai police on Tuesday had arrested Indrani Mukherjea on suspicion of committing a murder in 2012.
Indrani is accused of murdering Bora, before disposing her body in Raigad. She was remanded in police custody till August 31.
Her driver has also been arrested in the case.
“Arrest was made by Khar police, under CR no 406/15 and is registered U/S 302,201,34. Investigations are on. After producing the two accused in the court, we have got custody till 31st August.”DCP Dhananjay Kulkarni was quoted as saying.
Mumbai Police on Wednesday also arrested Indrani’s ex husband Sanjeev Khanna in Kolkata after interrogation.
Meanwhile, Bora’s brother, Mikhail told reporters on Wednesday that ‘if Indrani Mukherjee doesn’t admit to her crime I will place evidences before the police” adding that “since last September we are not getting any financial help from Indrani Mukherjee.”
Peter Mukherjea told a news channel that he was he was “dumbstruck” and shocked that the young woman she is accused of killing was her daughter, not sister.
“I feel like I have been kept in the dark about major parts of my marriage…I never took the rumours seriously when I heard them four years ago, but now it is coming to me from credible sources, the police,” Peter was quoted as saying.
He revealed that both his son and Sheena, Indrani’s daughter from her previous marriage, were dating each other and he was not ‘happy’ about this adding that he felt relieved when told Sheena had been sent to US.
Sheena was reportedly 24 years old when murdered by Indrani with the help of her driver, who police arrested on Monday after it received a tip-off.
