Yuva Sena in Mumbai wants Rs 500 crore defamation against RJ Malishka for viral video


Two Yuva Sena members have asked the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner to file a Rs. 500 crore-defamation suit against RJ Malishka and 93.5 Red FM, after a video posted by the radio station went viral.

In the video, Malishka and her colleagues are seen poking fun the civic body for its inefficiency in dealing with the city’s problems.

Sung by RJ Malishka, the video is titled ‘Mumbai Tula BMC var Bharosa nai ka’, which means, ‘Mumbai, don’t you have faith on BMC?’

Sena leaders, Amey Ghole and Samadhan Sarvankar, who is Sena legislator Sada Sarvankar’s son, met the Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta on Tuesday and gave a letter demanding the BMC to take legal action against the radio channel., reported ANI.

The said that Malishka and her friends unfairly blamed the BMC for the problems that did not fall under its jurisdiction.

They also added that the video maligned the Mumbai’s civic body while allegedly denting the confidence of thousands of its employees.

The video has been viewed more than 11 lakh times on YouTube since being posted on 10 July.
