On Father’s Day, Saif Ali Khan bares his heart on Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim and Taimur

Actor Saif Ali Khan isn’t one of those Bollywood artists, known for frequent media appearances. He was recently in news for making a personal intervention when director Abhishek Kapoor filed a lawsuit against daughter Sara Ali Khan after she allegedly messed up with dates on Kedarnath, her debut film.

Saif has now opened up on that controversy and also on other unreported aspects of his daughter’s life. Sara has also started her second film Simmba, where she will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh.

Speaking about the lawsuit filed by Kapoor, Saif told DNA, “There’s been a lot of here and there with Sara’s debut but she has worked it through. Now, Karan Johar is taking care of her and she is in the Dharma camp, so she’ll be fine. I would have always liked that because then, it’s a lot more secure and people like Karan know how to take care of you. It’s more than just making a film. She’s following her heart.”

Saif said that Sara was ‘a sweet and a bright kid’ adding that it felt weird for him to praise his own daughter.”

On whether he spent more time with Sara when she was small or now with Taimur, Saif said, “Actually, when Sara was born, I had a pretty phenomenal career low, so I had lots of time and I was around her quite a lot. I didn’t even miss work or crib about not having it, because all that time was spent with her. With Taimur, yes, we balance it out and I try to make sure we spend some time with each other regularly. I tried to do that with both my other kids as well. For example, Taimur wakes up at 7.30 am, I am up by 9 am. He comes, takes the torch by my bed and puts it in his mouth like the doctor. He keeps doing things like that. He likes to see the moon, which is nice. He watches it before he goes to sleep every day. He loves nature and is quite outdoorsy. He imitates us doing yoga by making some painful noises which obviously, I’m making while I’m stretching. He does a good side bend and falls over.”

One of Sara’s fans recently posted a photo of her along with that of Taimur, Saif’s first child from his second wife Kareena Kapoor. The fan sought to highlight there were many similarities in their look even though they had different mothers.

Meanwhile, Sara recently wrapped up the shooting for Kedarnath. Celebrity photographer Manav Manglani posted a video of the celebrations with Sara and her co-actor Sushant Singh Rajput feeding each other cake as they thanked everyone for one last time.

In Kedarnath, Sara is playing the role of an affluent tourist whereas Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of a ‘pitthoo’ (follower or playmate), who carries people’s luggages, old and ill people in the film. Based on the floods in Uttarakhand, the film has been locked for a November 30 release, reported ANI.
