A TV anchor broke down on Live TV after she learnt that her country’s parliament had decided to shut down the TV channel she worked for and that would be her last show.
Israel’s Channel One anchor, Geula Even, could not control her tears as she read the news coming from the Israeli parliament.
She read while unsuccessfully trying to control her tears, “This is our last edition. So the rest of this programme is irrelevant. And at the end of the day a lot of people are going to lose their jobs. I hope they find new jobs and public broadcasting continues to be strong. And if it exists in a different format.”
