Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he tweeted saying how he had ‘skipped Yoga’ to meet his mother for breakfast.
In his tweets, Kejriwal said, ” I live with my mother, I take her blessing but don’t shout about it in public. I don’t make my mother stand in bank queues for political gains.”

In another tweet, Delhi CM said, “Hinduism and Indian culture say that you must make your elderly mother and your wife stay with you. PM’s residence is big. Make your heart bigger too.”

Kejriwal’s colleague and former Delhi law minister, Somnath Bharti, too had taken a dig at Modi for ‘advertising’ his love for his mother.
Bharti had written, “Is this not height of want of publicity? Informing the world as if he did a great favor to her. Mr. Modi, v do it daily without advertising!”

Modi, who is on a two-day Gujarat visit for the Vibrant Summit, had reportedly gone to his mother Hiraba, who lives at Raisan village near Gandhinagar in Gujarat and not at the 7 RCR, the official residence of the prime minister.
Modi has long been accused of using his mother to attract the much-needed sympathy from the people particularly when the chips are down for him.
One such recent example was when Modi’s mother was made to travel to a bank and stand in a queue despite her age (she is 97).
