Man beheads hawker after altercation, escapes into woods with severed head

A 30-year-old vegetable seller was beheaded allegedly by a man after an altercation at Kendrapara in Belpahari area of West Midnapore district in  West Bengal today.

According to a report by news agency PTI, Buddheswar Pal got agitated after a quarrel with the hawker and beheaded him with a sharp weapon in full public view this afternoon.

As per eye-witness account, Pal ran into a forest carrying the severed head of the hawker.

Tough the police recovered the torso, efforts were on to nab the alleged culprit.
