Mammoth search operations launched for missing Dornier aircraft

Major search operations have been launched by the Indian Navy, Coast Guard and Tamil Nadu Coast Security Group to track the Dornier aircraft that went missing on Monday from Chennai.

According to reports, the missing aircraft has not been sighted so far and the search operations have been intensified as a result. To further augment the search, two Indian Navy ships capable of underwater detection have been deployed and the search area has been expanded, as told by a news agency.

A Dornier aircraft CG-791 of the Indian Coast Guard with three crew members on-board went missing on Monday from Chennai and lost contact at around 10 pm in Tiruchirappalli.
