Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav invoked Nelson Mandela and Dr BR Abedkar on Saturday moments after a CBI court convicted him in Fodder Scam case.
His tweet said, “Had people like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Baba Saheb Ambedkar failed in their efforts, history would have treated them as villains. They still are villains for the biased, racist and caste-ist minds. No one should expect any different treatment.”

In another tweet, Yadav’s official Twitter handle wrote, “Powerful people and powerful classes always managed to divide society into ruling and the ruled classes. And whenever anyone from the lower hierarchy challenged this unjust order, they would be deliberately punished.”

The sentencing of the all convicted will take place on 3 January. Yadav will have to be sent to jail until the then.
The RJD said that it will appeal the verdict in higher courts. The party’s spokesperson, Manoj Jha, said that it was tragedy of justice since Yadav was the first one to highlight the scam during his term as the chief minister.
