The father of the CBSE topper in Haryana, gang-raped by at least 10 people, has spoken about his ordeal in getting the complaint filed against the tormentors of his daughter. He said that the attitude of the police officers including the ‘woman SP’ was very threatening when he approached them to lodge a complaint.
“They did not pay attention to my complaint. They kept intimidating me for at least 30-45 minutes. (They said)’No, you leave this place’,” the father told Mirror Now channel.
He said that he didn’t have a clue as to why he was being threatened by police officials adding that his poverty could have been a reason.
“First they shooed me away. That SP of the women’s police station said, ‘what are you doing?’ I said, ‘not a problem Ma’am.’ Sir, they did not pay heed to my requests for half hour. After that another woman police officer convinced the SP,” he added.
It’s not clear whether he was referring to the Rewari SP, Nazneen Bhasin, or mistook someone else as the Superintendent of Police.
