AAP leaders Dilip Pandey and Alka Lamba attacked with eggs and stones at DU’s North Campus

Aam Aadmi Party leaders Dilip Pandey and Alka Lamba were attacked with eggs and stones by unknown miscreants at Delhi University’s North Campus on Monday, the first day of the new academic session. A student has reportedly been injured in the attacks.

Since it was the first day of the new session, there was plenty of activity at the campus today. Suddenly, however, the mood in the area shifted as some people started throwing stones and eggs in the direction of Pandey and Lamba, who were standing in the campus.

Some people alleged the involvement of NSUI workers in the attacks. The situation in the campus is currently being described as one of tension.

Meanwhile, police has been deployed in the campus following the incident. Lamba, who is an AAP MLA from Chandni Chowk, has also registered a formal police complaint in the matter.

On Friday, reports had come of unidentified miscreants attacking the office of AAP MLA Kailash Gahlot. Multiple rounds had allegedly been fired outside his office located on Dhansa Road in Najafgarh around 1 am.

The Najafgarh legislator was not in the office at the time of the incident.
