Twitter erupted with a hilarious meme fest after Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita Ambani paid Rs. 15.25 crore to have Ishan Kishan back to Mumbai Indians in this year’s IPL auction. Kishan, who was paid just Rs. 35 lakh in 2016, has made a considerable jump in his valuation.
Reacting to the news, Kishan said, “I am coming home to aamchhi Mumbai. Paltan (Mumbai Indians), I missed you and can’t wait to reunite. We’ve made so many memories together but our story is just getting started.”

He thanked Nita Ambani and the team management for reposing faith in his cricketing ability.
But the news led to a meme fest on the microblogging site Twitter.

Kishan had a base price of Rs. 2 crore but soon it led to a bidding war with Mumbai Indians facing stiff challenges from other teams such as Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. However, it was Nita Ambani, who had the last laugh. With this fee, 23-year-old Ishan Kishan has become the second-most expensive player in Mumbai Indians after Rohit Sharma, who was retained for Rs. 16 crore.
Mumbai Indians are the five-time champions of the IPL.
