TV anchor Deepak Chaurasia is facing widespread ridicule after many alleged that he had gone LIVE to broadcast a programme on the tragic death of General Bipin Rawat in a drunken state. The video of Chaurasia with slurred speech has gone viral on social, evoking strong reactions from netizens.
While presenting a programme about the death of General Rawat, Chaurasia struggled to complete his sentence and even addressed the late Chief of Defence Staff as a journalist. Known for championing for the cause of the ruling BJP in his TV studio, Chaurasia looked deeply uncomfortable during the broadcast.
This is how netizens reacted;
In a new low, a r/w star anchor gets on air, piss drunk & slurs his way through his segment…

What happened to @DChaurasia2312? Is he not well? Why was he removed from his show 'Desh ki Behas' in mins? Why is his show not uploaded on YT? Didn't look like he was in his usual sense. Nothing he spoke made sense too. Referred to Gen Bipin Rawat as VP Singh & many such errors pic.twitter.com/7YBSUV3TFl
