The Kapil Sharma Show featuring Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek to go off air as host Kapil Sharma plans to take break to welcome second child


In a huge development, Kapil Sharma has revealed that he will take a short break from The Kapil Sharma Show to welcome his second baby. This effectively means that the comedy show featuring Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek among others could go off-air since it’s fronted by Kapil. Although, neither Sony TV nor the show’s producer, Salman Khan has made any announcement on the future of The Kapil Sharma Show.

During his Q&A session with his fans on Twitter, one user asked, “Kapil Sharma sir, show off kyun kar rahe hain (Why are you taking the show off-air)?” Kapil replied, “Bcoz I need be there at home with my wife to welcome our second baby.”

When one fan asked if he was wishing for boy or a girl, the famous comedian replied, “boy or girl, tandrust ho bus (The baby should be healthy).”

Kapil and his wife Ginni Chatrath had welcomed their first baby, Anayra, in December 2019, a year after they tied the knot in Punjab. Kapil on Thursday shared a cute video of his daughter showing that she was learning to walk.

Kapil’s Sony TV show is aired on weekends at 9 pm. The show’s other cast members include Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda and Shumona Chakraborty among others. The comedy show is produced by Salman Khan.
