Khatron Ke Khiladi under scanner after snakebite, fall during stunt leave Vikas Gupta and Aditya Narayan hospitalised

Reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi has acquired quite a popularity in India because of its dare-devil stunts performed by celebrities. This year’s Khatron Ke Khiladi has suddenly found itself in news for all sorts of wrong reasons.

Usually the show has had a decent track record of ensuring good safety for its celebrity contestants even when their stunts have included facing venomous snakes and other dangerous animals or creatures. But this year, two prominent participants have already been taken to hospital after sustaining injuries during the stunts.

In producer Vikas Gupta’s case, the outcome could have been fatal after he was bitten by snake. A known producer and a former Bigg Boss contestant, Gupta was bitten by python.

Quoting a source, DNA reported, “During one of the stunts, Aditya fell and injured his eye. He was rushed to the hospital and has been advised a week’s rest. On another instance, a python was going to attack contestant Bharti Singh. Vikas tried to save her and was bitten by the snake. He was given a few injections and has been asked to take some time out to recover.”

The shooting is currently taking place in Argentina and the show will be broadcast on Colors TV later this year. Talking about the poor safety record this year, the source said, “The team is currently shooting in Argentina. And unlike other seasons, it seems this time the crew is finding it difficult to ensure proper safety measures for all the contestants. While performing the stunts, some participants like actor-singer Aditya Narayan and producer, as well as Bigg Boss 11 finalist Vikas Gupta have been injured.”

The show’s host Rohit Shetty has apparently expressed his displeasure over the recent incidents. He was reportedly fuming when the two celebrity contestants had to be taken to hospital. The organisers have now employed extra safety measures in view of the recent shenanigans.
