After Sunil Grover quit Kapil Sharma Show, the popular comedian has faced even bigger revolt with other key actors too coming in support of the former.
According to reports Chandan Prabhakar, who plays the character of the tea seller and Ali Asghar, the popular character of naani too have boycotted the show in solidarity of Grover.
A nervous Sharma had just Kiku Sharda, Rochelle Rao and Sumona Chakravarti with him when Naam Shabana crew reportedly turned up as the show’s guests.
A nervous Sharma then desperately tried to reach out to Sunil, but the latter reportedly refused asking for considerable hike in his pay.
Sharma was then reported to have contacted Sunil Pal, Raju Srivastava and Ehsan Qureshi to salvage the show.
Srivastava then tweeted on Wednesday, “At Kapil’s show…”

Indian Express quoted some sources, “Sunil is unlikely to return the way things are. Ali and Chandan are also staying away from the show. While Navjot Singh Sidhu has said he will stay with the show, how long can he manage with his new political commitments? Kapil Sharma Show is faced with tough times.”
Prabhakar told website spotboye, “Yes, I am not shooting with Sharma today. They called me but I refused. I told them that I am unavailable.”
Sunil had indicated to Janta Ka Reporter on Tuesday that he had quit the show without judging the merits of his decision as things had become ‘unbearable.’
In his heart-wrenching letter to Kapil Sharma, the host of Sony TV’s Kapil Sharma Show Grover asked him to refrain from using foul language ‘in front of women’ making it amply clear that he wouldn’t be a part of his show in future.
This after reports had emerged that a drunk Sharma had beaten up and abused Grover during a flight back from Australia.
While returning from Australia, Sharma, had alleged assaulted Grover and boasted how he had made them stars. To Grover in particular, he had alleged taunted him for leaving the show in the past only to then return later.
Grover, popular for his roles as Gutthi and now Dr Mashoor Gulati, received plenty of support from social media users, many of whom felt that that success had spoiled Sharma.
However, Sony TV is believed to have intervened asking Sharma to resolve the issue as Grover’s departure is bound to have adverse impact on the channel’s TRP. There are also reports that many other actors from the show will depart because of Sharma’s alleged bad behaviour towards his co-stars.
Last week, while shooting the episode with Begum Jaan crew, Sharma had reportedly made Vidya Balan wait for at least six hours.
With Navjot Sidhu’s future with the show shrouded with uncertainty, it seems Sharma’s woes are only going to worsen.
