After Anushka Sharma shared scathing lines from comedian Zakir Khan, actor Kriti Sanon has taken to social media to lash out at media personnel for their insensitivity during the coverage of Siddharth Shukla’s last rites. The former Bigg Boss winner had died of massive heart attack last week at the age of 40.
Kriti updated her Instagram story as she wrote, “Breaks my heart to see our media, photographers and even online portals being so insensitive. Shameful! This isn’t “News”, nor is it “Entertainment”! Draw some boundaries! Have a conscience! Said it before, Saying it again! STOP covering funerals!”
“Stop hounding people who are dealing with personal loss by flashing your camera in their face at their most vulnerable time ! And for what? A few posts? Online portals and channels are equally at fault” Take a stand, DON’T post those pictures and videos ! Stop faking sensitivity by just writing “Heartbreaking” in the captions of such inhuman insensitive posts.”
This came after Anushka Sharma shared comedian Zakir Khan’s lines on the same topic. Zakir had written in Urdu, “Woh tumhe insaan nahi samjhte, Is liye nahi hai koi line. na koi boundaries hain. Tumhari laash un keliye rooh nikla hua koi jism nahi. Bas tasveer lene ka ek aur mauqa hai. Jitni ho sake utni, ye waise hain jaise dangon mein kisi jalte ghar mein se bartan churani ki koshish karna. (They don’t think of you as a human being. Not because there aren’t any lines or boundaries. Your dead body is not a body without a soul for them, but another opportunity to click photos. As many as they can click. It’s similar to how people try to steal crockery from houses burning in a riot.)”

Many media platforms were seen sharing the videos of the burning pyre of Siddharth Shukla. This had evoked angry reactions from the late actor’s fans and celebrities from the entertainment industry.
