Aaj Tak anchor Anjana Om Kashyap has found herself at the centre of public ridicule once again after India’s young diplomat Sneha Dubey abruptly asked her to leave the room twice within a span of few seconds. The video of Kashyap being shown the door was broadcast LIVE on Aaj Tak TV channel and has gone viral on social media, earning her widespread ridicule.

In the video, Kashyap could be seen entering a room where India’s First Secretary Sneha Dubey was seated. Kashyap’s colleague Chitra Tripathi announced to Aaj Tak viewers, ‘Today the way India replied to Pakistan and what the first lady (sic) Sneha Dubey said. Anjana is speaking to her LIVE. Anjana.”

This was followed by Kashyap entering a room where the young Indian diplomat could be seen seated. It appeared that Kashyap was stopped from entering the room but the Aaj Tak anchor, true to her style, bulldozed her way in by saying authoritatively, ‘ek minute (One minute).’

She later said, “Sneha Dubey is the same official who was heard by the country with immense pride. I know you don’t want to speak on record, but the whole of India wants to listen to you. It may be a routine job for you, but this is huge.”

What followed next was nothing but an epic insult for the controversial Aaj Tak anchor as Sneha got up from her chair, folded her hands and showed Kashyap the door. The star diplomat said, “Whatever I had to say, I’ve already said.”

Pointing towards the door, she once again asked Kashyap to leave.

A visibly red-faced Kashyap had no option but to make a quick exit.

As expected, Kashyap became a butt of jokes on social media.

A 2012 batch IFS officer, Sneha dominated social media conversations on Saturday after the video of her fiery speech at the UN went viral.

Slamming Pakistan for its role in promoting terrorism, Sneha had said, “Pakistan holds the ignoble record of hosting the largest number of terrorists proscribed by the UNSC (United Nations Security Council). Osama bin Laden got shelter in Pakistan. Even today, Pakistan leadership glorifies him as a martyr.”
