Rahul “The Wall” Dravid is the new India-A cricket team coach


Former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid also known as “The Wall” for his defensive and supportive innings throughout his career has been appointed as the coach of the India ‘A’ and under-19 cricket teams following the conclusion of the first meeting of Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) advisory committee.

” Rahul Dravid has agreed to coach India ‘A’ and under-19 teams in future,” BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur told the media after the meeting.

The newly-constituted BCCI’s cricket advisory panel comprises of legendary cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman.

Thakur also informed the media that the panel suggested an increased number of India ‘A’ overseas tours, that would be helpful in giving a broader exposure to the young players and improve their game.
