Why are Twitter users discussing Baba Ramdev’s ‘anti-gravity’ beard and ‘Patanjali langot’

Ramdev has featured in the latest issue of India Today cover in a wide-legged forward bend, known as Prasarita Padottanasana.

The strap line of the image said, “How Baba Ramdev discovered commerce and turned spirituality on its head to emerge as a political, economic and cultural superbrand.”

No sooner had the photo of the cover page was posted on Twitter, the social media users began to poke fun at the yoga guru.

This latest conversation on microblogging site, Twitter, has taken place days after Ramdev’s video of ‘dancing’ to Kailash Kher’s song had gone viral.

  1. I appreciate the work done by Janata Ka Reporter in bringing news without fear and favour. However, today, giving front line news about twitter users comment on Baba Ramdev’s anti-gravity beard…is in extremely poor taste. What compounds this is that dastardly terror attack in France is given less importance. This is unacceptable and may bring JKR also in the same category as we know about many other news channels and papers. Be careful. You must be unbiased.
