India on Sunday defeated Pakistan in their Champions Trophy opener by 124 runs taking their head-to-head contest to 10 wins out of the 11 contests at the World Cup and World T20 tournaments between the two sub-continent rivals.
As expected there were plenty of buzz on social media about the outcome of this match as users intensely debated the emphatic win by the men in blue.
But, a large section section of Twitter users also began discussing the wardrobe of an anchor working for the Star Sports, the rights holding broadcaster of the cricket competition.
The anchor in question was Mayanti Langer, who’s become a popular face of the sports channel. A photo of Langer in a skirt, part of which was stuck on one side, went viral on the microblogging site.
Twitter user Priya Menon tweeted the photo of Langer with the following caption;
“It’s really mean that no one told her skirt was stuck on the side :/ (sic)”

This led to flurry of quirky messages on Langer’s skirt with some even likening it to Kerala’s mundu. The reference to Kerala was apt in light of Times Now channel declaring the God’s own country as Pakistan.
Langer, if you didn’t know it already, is also the wife of cricketer Stuart Binny.
I thought she’s wearing a kerala mundu..

Hats off to Mayanti Langer! Imagine she has managed to attract attention in studios for longer than such absorbing cricket on the field!

That was the only thing worth a replay today… desperately waiting for rain?

I thought it was a petticoat. And she forgot to wrap the saari in all this haste due to rain.
