In a sudden move, journalist Arnab Goswami, resigned from Times Now on Tuesday. Janta Ka Reporter had exclusively reported the news before any other media house.
Speaking to Janta Ka Reporter, several Times Now journalists from Mumbai had said that Arnab resigned promising to start a new venture, which will ‘rule the industry.’
He made this announcement during a specially convened editorial meeting.
He was joined by his team of journalists from Noida office through video conferencing facility.
Arnab, according to sources wishing to be anonymous, was very aggressive throughout his one-and-half-hour conversation with his team.
Barely few minutes into the meeting, Janta Ka Reporter had broken the news of his resignation. This prompted one of his colleagues in Mumbai to show the Janta Ka Reporter tweet.
One Times Now journalist, who was present in the channel’s Mumbai office said, “Arnab became miffed upon seeing Janta Ka Reporter tweet. He said ‘I don’t care about this portal. Let them publish what they wish. I’ve quit now and the industry will see what I will do next. Make no mistake, I will rule the industry once again.’”
What caught everybody’s attention at Times Now was Janta Ka Report’s ability to report a development, which had taken place in the close confinement of the channel’s offices. Our news had caused Arnab Goswami to become the top trend on Twitter, where users’ reactions came thick and fast.
