Salempur MP Ravindra Kushwaha on Saturday said that he would protest during the Monsoon session of Parliament to press his demand for train stoppages at Belthera road and Salempur, reported PTI.

“There is pressure from people for train stoppages on Belthara road and Salempur,” Kushwaha told reporters.

“I have written eight letters to Railway Minister Piyush Goel but no decision has been taken in this regard,” he added.

Bairia MLA Surendra Singh announced on Sunday that he will stage a sit-in at the tehsil office against the alleged prevalence of corruption there. “I will sit on a dharna on June 5 against the prevailing corruption in the Bairia tehsil office,” he said.

This comes just days after a BJP MLA had taken to Facebook to publicly mock Adityanath after the BJP suffered humiliating defeat in Kairana Lok Sabha and Noorpur assembly bypolls.

Shyam Prakash, BJP MLA from Hardoi, had taken to Facebook to attack Adityanath with the following lines in Hindi, “First Gorakhpur, Phulpur, and now Kairana and Noorpur, we are sorry for the BJP’s defeats. But five lines depicting the present reality. He became the head of the government after party won in the name of Modi, but he could not perform according to the liking of common people… Even the chief minister is feeling helpless… People and MLAs are hapless, officials and presidents are corrupt. Intelligent people should get the hint, rest it’s all your decision.”
