Kejriwal promises 1 lakh jobs, free wifi ahead of Delhi University polls

Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, promised higher education loans, one lakh jobs within a year and free wifi in colleges ahead of the Delhi University elections due on 11 September.

During his address in a rock concert organized by CYSS, Kejriwal said, “We will make Delhi the first free-wifi state and our team is working hard to turn it into a reality soon. The start would be made at colleges across the state. We will also create around 1 lakh jobs within a year.”

The DU rocks concert was attended by Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Dilip Pandey from the party leadership.

Manish Sisodia announced that the higher education loan scheme would be launched on 8 September, three days ahead of the DU polls.

In his speech, Kejriwal also pitched for “clean student politics” saying that Delhi University was full of corruption. The AAP government has reduced corruption in Delhi by over 70 per cent in six months, he said.

Popular singer Vishal Dadlani, roadies host Ragh Ram, singer Jasleen Royale and Shilpa Rao performed at the event. Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Dance for Democarcy’ team also gathered eyeballs with their stunning performance.
