Businessman Robert Vadra has taken to Facebook to claim that the allegations of corruption against him were baseless that nobody could ever prove anything against him.
Writing on the Facebook, the son-in-law of the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi said, “Almost a decade of governments false and baseless accusations on me ! They cannot prove anything without proof, and there is nothing there to prove…
I will always be used for political gains, I know … But I will walk with my head held high, as in time and with the truth which will conquer incorrect perceptions, that are created about me. (sic)”
Vadra’s post comes a day after the Justice S N Dhingra Commission, set up to look into land deals in Haryana – including one between realty major DLF and Vadra’s Skylight Hospitality – said that it had completed its investigation. The Commission, though, did not ask Vadra to appear before it during its investigation.
Justice Dhingra was quoted by Times of India as saying, “You have to wait for this (answer).”
Justice Dhingra said that the commission has examined about 250 files related to the grant of commercial licences after he took charge of the commission on June 8, 2015. The commission also examined 26 government officials.
