Aam Aadmi Party on Friday issued an urgent advisory to its supporters, volunteers and spokespersons directing them not to appear on Times Now and Sudarshan TV, describing both as the RSS’ mouthpieces.

The AAP said that any violation of this advisory will lead to disciplinary action.

The advisory said, “The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is using two News channel; Times Now and Sudarshan TV as its mouthpiece in English and Hindi respectively. Sudarshan TV and Times Now are part of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s propaganda machinery. All Aam Aadmi Party spokespersons, TV panelists, office bearers, leaders, members, volunteers, MPs, MLAs and AAP public representatives are advised against participating in Times Now and Sudarshan TV debates and their TV programmes. They are also advised against giving soundbites and phone-ins to these two channels.”

The party said that the decision had been taken after the ‘Times Now’s (RSS mouthpiece) cover was blown.’

It said, “To make its propaganda and falsehood look credible, Times Now is trying to mislead its viewers that it also has voices from AAP on its panel. To do this, Times Now (RSS mouthpiece) tricks unsuspecting AAP leaders, office bearers and other AAP functionaries, mostly from outside Delhi, into participating in its debate shows.

“Many party leaders and office bearers from West Bengal, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Maharashtra and other states have called the party headquarters to inform about this new propaganda tactics of RSS mouthpiece Times Now. Some even participated in shows assuming that they were assigned by the party to appear on the show.”

The party also said that it was contemplating legal action against what it called the RSS mouthpiece Times Now for tricking unsuspecting AAP members into participating in its ‘orchestrated debates’ if it shows anybody, except people duly authorised by the party for that particular show, as AAP spokespersons or representatives.
