Zee media journalist dies after falling off fifth floor in Faridabad


A female journalist working with the ZEE Media owned DNA website died in a mysterious circumstances after falling off the fifth floor of a building in Faridabad, near Delhi.


Police have described the death as suicide, but her friends said she was too ‘gutsy person’ to take such step.

Quoting police sources PTI reported that the victim Pooja Tiwari and her friend Anuj Mishra, were recently booked for allegedly extorting Rs 2 lakh from a hospital owner.

She had also been reportedly suspended from her job.

Pooja’s death has left her former colleagues and family devastated.

One colleague said that the journalist was working on an investigative piece involving medical malpractices. A doctor had filed an FIR alleging extortion.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that the case was being probed.
