An honest woman police officer in Madhya Pradesh has been reportedly punished by the Madhya Pradesh government after she forcibly removed black films from the glasses of a car belonging to some influential youth.
The video of the lady officer, Usha Somvanshi, giving a public dressing down to the youth for breaking traffic laws has now gone viral on social media platforms.
In the video Somvanshi can be seen forcibly removing black films while ordering her subordinates to arrest the youth guilty of being in violation of the Supreme Court order.
Soon after the incident, the officer was reportedly transferred to CSP Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.
According to several media reports, the youth misbehaved with the woman officer prompting her to order their detention. The boys in question, however, alleged that the officer had physically assaulted them.
A boy in the video is seen alleging that the lady officer had slapped him. However, when asked to present the evidence to support his claims, the boy refused to substantiate his allegations.
The Supreme Court in 2012 had ordered a complete ban on the use of tinted plastic films irrespective of the degree of visibility on windscreens and other glass panels of vehicles throughout the country.
The incident comes just weeks after a video of a lady officer in Uttar Pradesh standing up to the bullying of BJP leaders in Uttar Pradesh had gone viral.
