On Monday we reported how a BJP MLA had publicly insulted lady IPS officer by warning her not to cross her limits.
The public insult had left the upright officer in tears prompting a huge social media outcry in her support.
Moments later, Charu Nigam took to her Facebook page to explain that her tears weren’t the sign of her weakness.
Explaining the reason she wrote, “To everyone who has turned up in my support: My training hasn’t taught me to be weak. I just did not expect that my SP city Ganesh Saha Sir would outrightly reject the irrational argument and talk about my injury. Before sir came, I was the seniormost officer in police there but when sir came and stood by the force, I got emotional. Media has taken this stand because everyone of them saw both the incidents and this shows the positivity of media in Gorakhpur. I am thankful to them to have shown the truth with least manipulation.
“I believe that good gets good and that’s why I have got the support of the media. Please stay calm! I am fine and slightly hurt. Nothing to be agitated or worried about. (sic)”
She also posted a Hindi couplet, whcih said, “Don’t take my tears as my weakness, my eyes welled up not because I was stone hearted but because of my softness. I am a lady officer but your arrogance can’t see that. The truth is so powerful that it will show its colour one day.”
Her Facebook post has now gone viral with thousands of people liking and over 500 users sharing it.
The video of Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal insulting the IPS officer Charu Nigam had now gone viral.
According to reports, a group of women were protesting against the police’s complicity in the sale of illicit liquor near Koilhwa village. Agarwal too arrived at the spot and began heaping insults on the officer.
Repeatedly pointing his fingers at the woman officer, he said, “Main aapse baat nahin kar raha hoon… mujhe tum kuch na batao. Chup raho tum! Bardasht ke bahar mat jao (I am not speaking to you. Don’t tell me anything. You keep quiet. Don’t cross your limits).”
