On Friday the war of words between SS Yadav, ACP Delhi ACB, and MK Meena, who was appointed by the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to act as new chief of the anti corruption body was widely reported.

Here’s what happened between SS Yadav and MK Meena.

Yadav in his letter (copy below) alleged that Meena had threatened him before asking him to hand over the FIR book as he needed to “show that to top authorities.”

Yadav refused saying that it was in the safe custody and couldn’t be ‘given like this’ as this will amount to ‘illegal act.’

The ACB’s ACP also said that Meena had deployed two members of CRPF personnel inside the premises of the ACB adding that he was put under tremendous pressure to transfer two FIRs ( 10/2015 and 15/2015 registered at PS AC branch against Delhi police officials.)

Yadav alleged he was facing serious threats to his life by Meena.

If what Yadav has alleged, this will be a serious allegation as Meena as his action would also amount to contempt of Supreme Court as the matters relating to the FIRs against the Delhi police officials are currently being heard in court.

As the letter below suggests, Meena had indeed directed Yadav to ‘keep the FIR book in the police station, Anto Corruption Branch.’
