When passengers protested against use of ‘toilet water’ in soup


Union Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu may have been credited with working towards causing revolution in his ministry, but the recent development in Duronto Express in Kerala will worry him and the central government.


On Sunday, angry passengers, forced halted Duronto Express in Kerala’s Kzhikode station as they complained of toilet water being used to prepare soup for the passengers.

A report in Times of India said that the train was travelling from Ernakulum to Mumbai when the passengers submitted the complaint to the station master of Kozhikode railway station.

Angry passengers forced the train to halt at Kozhikode railway station for almost 15 minutes to protest the incident.

According to an official of the Railway protection Force, one of the passengers allegedly spotted an employee in the pantry adding water collected from toilet tap into the tomato soup.
