How often have we seen External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj bailing distressed Indians out of their misery abroad.
It’s one quality of her that has earned her plenty of plaudits from even her detractors.
But little would Swaraj have realised that her efforts to be seen as an unusually accessible cabinet minister would one day prompt a man to contact her for his refrigerator problem.
That’s precisely what happened on Monday when a man from Bangalore wrote to Swaraj sharing his woes with a reputed electronics brand.
User Venkat wanted Swaraj’s intervention because presumably he wasn’t having any luck with Samsung to get his fridge repaired.
An accessible minister didn’t ignore his tweet despite it being utterly frivolous. She responded displaying her usual politeness, ” Brother I cannot help you in matters of a Refrigerator. I am very busy with human beings in distress.”

This gesture by the minister instantly made her tweet viral with it being retweeted more than 3,000 times on microblogging site.
The man didn’t give up here. He wrote to Swaraj again, but this time to thank her and inform that her reply, according to him, had left the company exposed.
He wrote, “@SushmaSwaraj mam, tq u 4 rply. now at least ppl will be aware of @Samsung_IN disgraceful service and products with ur reply. (Sic)”

His last tweet conclusively proved one thing that he had tagged Swaraj in his original tweet about Samsung fridge knowing fully well that she was the Foreign Minister and not the Fridge Minister.
