Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal shared a stage with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday during a cultural programme organised by Bihar government. Attacking BJP, Arvind Kejriwal said, “BJP raised questions on DNA of Bihari people. They have made same mistake, which they made by questioning my ‘gotra.’ Voters gave them fitting reply.”
Delhi Chief Minister also praised Nitish Kumar for what he felt was an example of ‘good governance.’ “The good governance of Bihar can be heard even as far as in Delhi. I have got the opportunity to learn a lot from Nitish ji.”
Kejriwal will stay in Bihar for a day and will return on Friday.
He launched yet another attack against PM Narendra Modi taking a dig at his ‘Swacch Bharat’ campaign.
He said, “Hundreds of crores of rupees have been spent on advertisements of Swachh Bharat, but has even a lane or road in the country benefited from this campaign?
Talking about Delhi, Kejriwal said if there was an election in Delhi today, his Aam Aadmy Party will win 70 out 70 seats.
He added, “Our MLA Commando Surender Singh was arrested by Delhi Police, next day court gave him the bail saying that it was a political vendetta. The central government keeps objecting to everything we do. They say we can’t do this and we can’t do that. But they never tell us what we can do in government.”
He said that there was no power shortage in Delhi adding that “this summer there were no power cuts due to electricity shortage, maybe few due to technical faults but not due to shortage.”
Bonhomie between Bihar CM Nitish Kumr and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was seen during a recent visit by Nitish Kumar to Delhi. Nitish Kumar, recently attended a cultural programme organised by the Delhi government as a chief guest.
Both chief ministers have lately developed a considerably good camaraderie and their mutual admiration for each other just ahead of crucial Bihar elections, which is being seen as a significant move against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
