War of words after Rabri Devi makes stunning revelation claiming that Prashant Kishor met her five times for JDU-RJD merger

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi has made a stunning revelation claiming that poll strategist-turned-JDU politician, Prashant Kishor, had met her and her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav at least five times requesting the RJD’s merger with his party.

According to her, Kishor met them mostly at her 10, Circular Road residence and one or two times at 5, Deshratna Marg, the bungalow allotted to her younger son Tejashwi Yadav. News agency PTI quoted her as saying, “All our staff and security personnel deployed here are witnesses. He called on us at least five times.”

She repeated her claims while speaking to news agency ANI, which quoted her as saying, “(Bihar Chief Minister and JDU chief) Nitish Kumar wanted to come back, he had said that I want to see Tejashwi as CM in 2020 and you declare me as PM candidate. Even, Prashant Kishor came to meet us five times after our alliance had ended.”

Kishore responded by vehemently denying Rabri Devi’s claims. Kishor tweeted, “Those convicted or facing charges of abuse of public office and misappropriation of funds are claiming to be the custodians of truth. Whenever Lalu Prasad Yadav ji wants, he can address the media with me. Let everyone know what conversation he and I had and who made what kind of offers to whom?”

From Kishor’s tweet it’s clear that he’s not denied meeting Lalu Prasad Yadav, who’s currently in jail after being convicted in the fodder scam.

Responding to Kishor’s challenge, the official Twitter handle of the Rashtriya Janata Dal wrote Twitter, “Pandey ji, the RJD president’s political experience is more than your entire age. Many small time leaders like you came and disappeared. Your fraud acts wouldn’t work here. Go and sell yourself before Modi and Nitish. You wouldn’t have places to hide if we reveal your secrets.”
