Video of Dhoni using expletives to admonish Manish Pandey goes viral

MS Dhoni has long been known as the Captain Cool and rarely has one seen losing his sanity on the cricket field. The former India skipper is by far the most successful captain as he led his team to win 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa and ODI World Cup in 2011 in India.

However, Dhoni looked incredibly agitated while batting against South Africa during the second T20 match against the hosts. The video of Mr Cool using expletives admonishing Manish Pandey, who was batting at the other end, has gone viral now.

In the video, Dhoni is seen abusing Pandey admonishing him for not paying attention to the game. He’s heard saying, “Oye, B****** ke idhar dekh le, udhar kya dekh raha hai. (Look here, what are you looking there for?)”

It was the last over the Indian innings when Pandey chipped in a single by playing towards mid-wicket. Dhoni, it appeared, wasn’t very pleased as he was keen to steal two. This prompted him to give a public dressing down to Pandey. The audio was caught through the stumps mic. The former India captain hit Dane Paterson to a splendid six over extra cover taking India’s total to 188/4. The hosts successfully chased the target for the loss of same number of wickets with eight balls to spare.

The video of Dhoni giving mouthful to Pandey, meanwhile, has gone viral. One wonders what may have triggered him to lose his sanity.

Speaking after the match, Pandey shared how the South Africa tour was a tough for him given that he had to sit out on several occasions. He said, “Honestly, it is a little tough. It works on your mind a lot. Especially this tour I felt a lot actually. I had to see a doctor also because of that. But it is okay, It is part of the game, that’s what cricket is all about.”
