Veteran actor Dilip Kumar admitted to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai


Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was Saturday admitted in hospital.

Dr. Jalil Parkar told ANI news agency, “Dilip Kumar ji was admitted to Lilavati hospital at 2AM for respiratory problems,he’s not in ICU.Doctors are keeping a close watch on him.”

Dilip Kumar, who has been ill for sometime, had to be rushed to hospital at 2 a.m,

Dr Parkar said, “I got a call that he was unwell. He had fever and had vomited a few times. He was suffering from pneumonia as well. His white blood cells had shot up. We thought it would be better to admit him to hospital.”

The 93-year-old actor was as Mohammad Yusuf Khan but had adopted screen name Dilip Kumar.

Known as the king of emotions, Dilip Kumar has acted in many films including iconic films such as “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Ganga Jamuna”, “Madhumati”, “Devdas”, “Ram Aur Shyam”, “Karma” and others.
