The former president of India APJ Abdul Kalam on Thursday showered praises on the Aam Aadmi Party-led government for allocating significantly high budget for education in their annual budget, presented last week.
Talking to reporters after attending a programme with teachers in Delhi he said, ” I’m very happy that education got highest budget by Delhi government.”
The former president, also known as India’s atomic man, was interacting with the principals and teachers ina programme organised at the Delhi secretariat on Thursday afternoon.
Among those who attended this event also included the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia.
Kalam’s praise for the Delhi government follows after an overwhelmingly majority of the online poll, conducted by jantakareporter.com had praised Delhi government’s ‘Swaraj Budget’ or participatory budget.
