Bharatiya Janata Party vice president in Uttar Pradesh, Dayashankar Singh, on Tuesday compared Bahujan Samaj Party supremo, Mayawati, to a ‘prostitute’. The newly appointed state vice-president made this remark while he was at Mau district for party work.
While addressing the media gathering, Singh said, “Mayawati sells party tickets to anyone who paid her the highest amount. She changes her decision in minutes. If one person gives her 1 crore for party ticket and another person approaches her for the ticket with Rs 2 crore, she will pass it to another one. Even a prostitute fulfills her commitment after she is paid.”
While reacting to Singh’s comment Mayawati said, “BJP is frustrated in Uttar Pradesh after seeing the rise of BSP”. BJP state chief Keshav Maurya, said, “I don’t know what he (Dayashankar) has said. If anything objectionable is found, party will take action on it”
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said he too was hurt with his party member’s comment.
“I should tell Mayawati ji that the party shares her grief over this issue, I will look into this matter, we stand with her. I am personally hurt that a BJP party person used such derogatory words against Mayawati.”
