Just when we thought Twitter has had enough of controversy surrounding naming of a celebrity child, the microblogging site nearly had another storm waiting. This time it was cricketer Irfan Pathan, who and wife Safa Baig, were recently blessed with a bundle of joy.
Pathan was advised by a Twitter user not to name his son either Dawood or Yakub (both Yakub Memon and Dawood Ibrahim are accused in Mumbai blasts.) Incidentally, both are also the names of Muslim prophets.
User Divyanshu Raj said, “Big Congrats @IrfanPathan On being blessed from a baby boy! But bhai uska nam #Daud ya phir #Yakub mt rkh dena! This world is Ridiculous!”
Pathan, who rose to international fame because of his devastating yorkers, had one ready for this user too and used the opportunity to make an awesome point.
Pathan said, “naam chahe jo bhi rakhenge lekin Ek baat Pakki hai wo bhi papa or bade papa ki tarah is mulk ka naam Roshan hi karega #withlove”

The proud parents have named their little cutie ‘Imran Khan Pathan’ because this name is very close to the Pathan family.
Not so long ago, the right-wing bigots had given grief to Bollywood couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan after they named their newborn ‘Taimur Ali Khan.’ Some perverts had even wished death to the little baby inviting widespread condemnation.
