In an incident similar to an action film, two prisoners scaled a wall and dug a tunnel under another to escape from Delhi’s high security Tihar jail.

One of the prisoners, Faizan, was been caught but the other, Jawed, managed to run away. Police officials stated that both were lodged in jail on burglary charges.

As per reports, the two men first climbed over the wall of Jail no. 7 on Saturday night, where they were kept, and managed to dig a tunnel under the wall of the adjoining Jail No. 8, which is the boundary of the prison complex.

During the Sunday morning roll call, the authorities realised that they were missing. After searching the complex, they found the tunnel and soon, a search team managed to catch hold of Faizan.

Investigation is on to find out how the inmates managed to get hold of equipments to dig the tunnel. Police is looking for the other inmate, Jawed who managed to escape.
