Tied to a tree, beaten by iron rod for 9 hours in Gurgaon because washing machine he repaired continued to give problems

After the reports that two men, Naved and Salim, were tied to a tree and beaten by 12 men with iron rods for nine hours in Gurgaon, the police on Thursday discovered the decomposed body a 26-year-old man from a nearby canal.

The body is believed to be of Naved as, according to police, Salim had managed to escape.

The crime reportedly took place on 24 August, when Salim contacted the Rajendra Park police station with the members of Naved’s family to register a complaint.

According to police, both Naved and Salim are from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh and ran a washing machine repair shop in Molahera village.

The victims had repaired the washing machine of the main accused and charged his wife Rs 1200 for the job. But, the washing machine continued to give problems even after the repairs.

“The main accused Jitender, along with other men, allegedly called the victims to Chandu village, tied them to a tree and beat them up brutally. Most of the accused were allegedly inebriated,” one police officer was quoted as saying.

Rajesh Chechi, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime), said, ‘Jitender was arrested on August 25 and taken into three days’ police remand. Naved’s body was recovered with the help of divers.”

Naved’s body was found from a canal near the Gurgaon-Jhajjar border. Police have started a hunt to arrest the accused.
