Three-year-old girl dies after getting stuck in school elevator


In a tragic incident, a 3-year-old girl died on Tuesday after she was stuck in her school elevator in Hyderabad.

Initial reports suggest the nursery student, Syeda Xanaib, died after her head got stuck in the elevator door of her school in Dilsuknagar area of Hyderabad.

The police has lodged an initial complaint against the school authorities and launched an investigation into her death.

The incident occurred at Star Kids School at Moosrambagh in Malakpet area. The news of the girl child’s death caused huge tension in the neighbourhood as the victim’s parents and family members staged a protest, demanding action against the school management for their negligence.

Police officials investigating the child’s death told NDTV, Syeda was taking the elevator from the ground floor to the third floor at the Sri Chaitanya School building. Her head got stuck in the door and the elevator moved, crushing her to death.
