Student Mohd Faiz Uddin had approached Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi for immediate help since his application for an education loan was pending for more than six months. The delay, according to the student, had posed questions on his future since his admission in Delhi’s Jamia Hamdard was likely to be cancelled if he did not clear his fees by 13 November.

The student did not receive any response from either the chief minister or his deputy. Although, Journalist Prashant Kumar tagged RJD leader Tejashwi asking if he could help save the future of the student.

Not only did Tejashwi intervene but also ensured that Rs 1 lakh was immediately credited to the student’s account. the RJD leader later tweeted, “Dear @MdFaiz105, Kindly update if the same has been credited in account or not. I’m told it was done yesterday.”

The student later thanked Tejashwi for his timely help and saving his future.

Tejashwi’s small act of kindness has become a huge talking point on Twitter with many hailing him as a guardian angel of a desperate student. Social media users have also slammed the state government for ignoring the desperate plea of a student, who wanted to take advantage of a key scheme launched by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led government.
