Take care of my brother: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s emotional appeal to Wayanad voters about her brother and ‘most courageous’ man


Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday made a passionate plea to the voters of Wayanad, requesting them to take care of her brother and Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Priyanka, who was appointed as the AICC General Secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh East earlier this year, had accompanied her brother to the hilly Kerala city, where the latter filed his nomination for this year’s Lok Sabha elections.

Priyanka took to Twitter to describe her brother as the most courageous man and her ‘truest friend.’ She wrote, “My brother, my truest friend, and by far the most courageous man I know. Take care of him Wayanad, he wont let you down.”



After filing his nomination papers, Gandhi also took part in a roadshow, wehere thousands turned up to greet him.

A tweet by the Congress read, “What an incredible day in Wayanad, Kerala as Congress President @RahulGandhi files his nomination. Thousands gathered to share their love & join in the revelry. #RahulGandhiWayanad #RahulTharangam.”



Gandhi’s roadshow was marred with a minor accident, when at least three journalists got injured after a barricade collapsed. Gandhi had personally escorted the journalists to the ambulance.

The Congress president will be contesting from two seats, Amethi in Uttar Pradesh and Wayanad in Kerala.
