“Smriti Irani’s degrees should be verified”, says PM Modi’s brother, Prahlad Modi


The Deputy Chairman of All India Retail Association and brother of PM Narendra Modi, Prahlad Modi has requested that investigation must be carried out regarding Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani’s graduation degree. Last month, Irani’s degrees were in question as some leaked documents claimed that her degrees were not authentic.

Prahlad Modi cited the example of ex-Law Minister of Delhi Jitender Tomar and said that similar investigation must be carried out for Smriti Irani’s degrees.

When asked about the ongoing controversy surrounding Sushma Swaraj and Lalit Modi, Prahlad Modi stated that the case was on “humanitarian’ basis and it shouldn’t be turned into a political debate.

Prahlad Modi also spoke about the Black Money issue. He said that Central Government was committed to the issue and all necessary steps were being taken to bring back the stashed money from offshore accounts.
