The cops have also recovered 16 laptops, four hard disks, 16 mobile phones and ten SIM cards from the call centre during the raid.

A report by PTI said that the special team of Mumbai’s Cuffe Parade police station raided the office of a Noida-based firm, ‘All India Networking Faculty Icon, in Noida on Friday.

According to reports, two individuals namely Rana and Tiwari, who had earlier worked with some leading job portals, had illegally obtained data of job-seeking individuals from across the country. They had then provided the data to the owner of the firm, Shashank Dubey.

As part of the racket, the culrpits would invite candidates for job interviews in Noida. Job interviews would then be followed by ‘confirmation letters’ with instructions to also deposit money in certain bank accounts as ‘processing fee.’

The candidates would not hear from them after they deposited the money. The Mumbai Police swung into action after they received several complaints from those, who had been duped in the past.
