Shatrughan Sinha meets ‘friend & mukhiya’ of Bihar Nitish Kumar

BJP’s MP from Patna Sahib. Shatrughan Sinha met the Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar on Monday evening causing considerable discomfort within his own party.

The actor-turned-politician took to twitter to announce his meeting Nitish.

He said, “While in Patna, was great to reconnect with good friend & Mukhiya of Bihar, Nitishji fter quite a gap. Very cordial. Lot of affection and respect for a good friend. God bless! (sic)”

Hours later, he posted two more tweets about his meeting with the RJD chief Laloo Yadav.

He said, ” sharing the lighter moments with old friends in Patna. Meeting openly and boldly.”

The shotgun had openly criticised the party leadership both during the last year’s assembly election and soon after the saffron party faced crushing defeat in the polls.

In December last year the BJP MP from Patna had thrown his weight behind the Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, amidst the raging controversy over the CBI raids at the latter’s office.

Describing Kejriwal “masses’ favourte and popular” chief minister, the Bollywood actor-turned-politician questioned the timing of the raid. In a series of tweets posted on early Wednesday morning, Sinha called the move ill-advised.

More recently, he had criticised Modi for his ill-advised decision to impose President’s rule in Arunachal Pradesh.

In a series of tweets, Sinha had said, ” I have tremendous faith in our dashing dynamic action hero PM. But wonder who the “great” advisors are who advised President’s Rule in AP. That too when the matter is sub judice, in the Supreme Court, under a 5 judge constitutional bench. Wonder what was the hurry and worry.”
