Bollywood actor Anupam Kher and Congress Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor were found themselves in a bitter war of words on Saturday on twitter.
It was after Tharoor taunted Kher for his recent comments made during a TV interview that he was scared to openly admit he was a Hindu.
Tharoor tweeted, “Come on Anupam. I say it all the time. I’m a proud Hindu. Just not the Sangh’s kind of Hindu. @AnupamPkher.”

This appeared to have angered the 60-year-old actor, who resorted to name-calling by branding Tharoor as a “Congi Chamcha” (Congress stooge).
“Come on Shashi. Never thought you will misinterpret my statement like trolls do. And behave like a Congi Chamcha.”

A witty Tharoor wasted no time in getting back to Kher by tweeting, “Abuse, @AnupamPkher , is what you use when you run out of arguments. I’m a proud MP of @INCIndia &I don’t resort to insults. #CongiChamcha.”

Kher replied, “Sadly, you forgot that you brought in your kind of Hindu & Sanghi Hindu first.”
Sadly, you forgot that you brought in your Kind of Hindu & Sanghi Hindu first. You want to categorize that also? https://t.co/I1aBObn5BY

This is not the first time Kher is being criticised for using the language of twitter ‘trolls’ while communicating through microblogging site.
Peeved by the criticism over his alleged hypocrisy while expressing his joy on being awarded Padma Bhushan, Kher had asked his critics to use ‘burnol’- a cheap expression often used by twitter trolls for their rivals affected by jealousy.
