Seven CRPF jawans killed in blast in Dantewada in Chhattisgarh


There are reports of powerful blasts by Maoists in Chhttisgarh’s Dantewada area.


According to SP, Dantewada, K Kashyap, at least seven CRPF jawans of 230 battalion are reported to have been killed in the blasts.

Naxals attacked when the CRPF convoy was passing through Malewara in Dantewada, which is considered stronghold of the militants. An armourred vehicle was blown up by the attackers resulting death of 7 CRPF jawans.

NDTV said that the massive explosion formed an over six feet wide crater, eye witnesses said. Senior police officials with a backup team have set out for the spot.

Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal condemned the attacks calling at cowardly act, “We strongly condemn this cowardly act. Strong action shud be taken against those who did it. Violence is no solution.”
