A court in Mumbai has issued a non-bailable warrant against the Bollywood actor, Sanjay Dutt.
According to ANI, the warrant was issued after the actor did not appear before a court in a case relating to cheque not being honoured. He was also accused of allegedly threatening filmmaker Shakil Noorani.
Dutt had reportedly accepted Rs 50 lakh from Noorani as fee to his film, which he did not complete. But other reports suggested that he had only appeared for two days for the shoot.
In April 2002, according to news agency ANI, Noorani had alleged that Dutt had promised a film with him but at the last minute cancelled doing it. He also claimed to have received death threats from underworld goons on behalf of the actor.
Shakil Noorani was a top national trend on Twitter for a large part of Saturday.
Dutt was released from jail in Bombay blasts case last year in February.
