Businessman Robert Vadra has penned down a heartfelt message for his wife Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the latter formally started her political career with a road show in Lucknow.
Taking to Facebook, Vadra, the son-in-law of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, wrote that he was aware of the vindictive ‘political atmosphere,’ but he was now handing ‘her to the people of India.’
He wrote, “My Best wishes to you P, on your new journey of working in Uttar Pradesh and serving the people of India. You have been my best friend a perfect wife and the best mother to our Children.”
“There is a very Vindictive and vicious political atmosphere… But I know, it’s her duty to serve the people and Now we hand her to the people of India.”
His ended his post with a request to people of India as he concluded, “Please keep her safe.”
Vadra has had to face three days of intense grilling in money laundering cases by the Enforcement Directorate. He has denied allegations, calling it a part of the vendetta politics of the BJP government at the Centre.
